Description
MicroMesh cushioned abrasives are backed with a flexible cloth and a resilient inner layer and feature large, micron-graded silicone carbide crystals. The “cushioning†prevents deep random scratches, common when using conventional abrasives. You may choose to use a bit of water to cool the surface you are working on and extend the life of the belts. The polishing tool has a spring loaded end to help attain maximum control.
AO Grade abrasive colors range from off white to yellow and are preferred by china restorers as it leaves no color residue. Use it in the fine finishing of other soft materials like plastic and acrylic. Seven belts are included with the kit, one of each grade: 300, 600, 800, 1500, 2400, 4000, and 12,000, as well as the sanding stick tool itself.
MM Grade abrasive colors range from light to dark grey and are used for finishing plastics, acrylics, polycarbonates, bakelite, soft woods, cultured marble, coatings, and more. Nine belts are included with the kit, one of each grade: 1500, 1800, 2400, 3200, 3600, 4000, 6000, 8000, and 12,000, as well as the sanding stick tool itself.
