These large textile boxes ship to you flat and can be easily set up. They hold wedding dresses, uniforms, quilts, linens and other textiles you wish to preserve. The boxes feature short lids and are made from our MicroChamber/ Silversafe corrugated board. The lignin- free, acid-free outer layer is made from our (tan) MicroChamber paper containing alkaline buffers and our proprietary molecular sieves. This is faced with an inner (white) acid- and lignin-free, neutral pH, non-buffered cotton paper. Thus, this paper offers the safest possible storage for your textiles. The neutral pH interior layer is safe for all textiles including protein-based material like silk and wool. MicroChamber boards are unique in that they can actually remove harmful gases, whether airborne pollutants from outside the box or by-products of deterioration from within, preventing them from coming in contact with items being stored. Additionally, they can remove 170 times more acid than a buffered paper of equivalent size and weight.
