About Us

Conservation Resources International is a family-owned and operated company which has been serving the international archives and conservation community since 1979. We understand that nobody likes answering machines or talking to a computer when they call; for this reason our office is staffed by knowledgeable people all of whom should be able to assist you when they answer the telephone. We value your feedback and encourage you to contact us whenever you have an idea or observation you would like to share. We consider many of our customers to be friends, and enjoy the opportunity to get to know you and your collections through the years.

Conservation Resources was the first company established specifically to address the needs of archivists and conservators. We only offer the highest- quality, safest storage and preservation materials. We do not choose to veer into other areas such as furniture, display cases, or library equipment. Everything we offer is archivally safe, and you can be assured that our products offer the very best quality and pricing available anywhere as well.

We lead the field as the innovator in archival storage technology; in fact the desire to exclusively manufacture and focus on developing products for archives, libraries, and conservation labs was the reason Conservation Resources was founded in 1979. We were the first to buffer archival storage boards throughout all layers, the first to introduce lignin-free products, and the first to seal archival polyester without adhesives. We have also developed original and exclusive products such as our non-buffered/ buffered Lig-free II and our patented MicroChamber and MicroChamber/ Silversafe papers and boards containing zeolites. Our goal has always been to bring you the finest conservation products fabricated from the highest quality materials and designed to meet your most demanding conservation treatment and archival storage standards. Our customers include the leading museums, galleries, universities, and government agencies; if you name an institution known to have responsibility for historical and cultural artifacts, you can safely assume they use Conservation Resources’ products. However, family archivists, individual collectors and photographers in all areas of the discipline also rely on Conservation Resources to help protect the items they cherish. We welcome everyone, no matter how large or small their collection, as together we seek to preserve the past for the future.
