An acrylic copolymer
with a pH in the range of 9-9.5, Texicryl is most commonly used in
conservation as a heat-sensitive adhesive for coating fine tissue and
material substrates. It may also be used in the production of wood primers
and as a binder for fabric backings. The solids content is 55%, the viscosity
at 25 C
1.0-2.5 poise, and it has a minimum film forming temperature of 6 C.
