Filmoplast P and P90

These are two of the most popular tapes used in conservation the world over. Both are wood-free, self-adhesive paper-based tapes featuring an acrylic adhesive designed to protect cellulose fibers. With the Filmoplast P tape, both the paper base and the adhesive have a pH of 8.5, however, the Filmoplast P90 adhesive is pH 8.5, but the paper base is pH 8.0 Tapes can be removed using water (unlike document repair tape) or a suitable solvent. The difference between the two is color; Filmoplast P is a transparent, wafer-thin tape, whereas Filmoplast P90 is an opaque white tape. The rolls measure 3/4 in. by 164 feet.
